Food Handler Card Requirement
A new law has been passed to increase food safety competence and awareness, this new requirement is called the Food Handler Card and it requires all food handlers to successfully pass a food handler training course and exam with a minimum score of 70%.
Online food safety training obtained from an accreditied food safety training program is accepted to meet this requirement.
The Food Handler Card requirement is additional to the Certified Food Manager requirement that mandates every food establishment to have at least one certified Food Manager.
